Courtney Gale

Most of you will remember the name Courtney Gale. She is the Athens-Clarke County Police Officer that was brutally attacked while working off duty security at a local grocery store on December 11th, 2007.
The business community and the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce members responded many times over in helping to raise funds and awareness off her situation. For that we are thankful.
After 45 days in ICU, she is now receiving treatment at the Shepard Center in Atlanta. She still has a long and very expensive road to recovery.
The Athens-Clarke County Police Department and The Athens Country Club are sponsoring a fund raising golf tournament to provide funds to a trust that has been established to help with Courtney's bills and expenses. The tournament date is March 31, 2008. The brochure is attached.
It is reasonably priced and 100% of the entry fees will go to the Trust --- thank you Athens Country Club.
