Blitz Multimedia Campaign Committee

• assist in design and construction of SCN posters
• distribute posters to campuses and communities
• maintain up-to-date databases referencing the overall distribution of SCN posters and their current locations
• keep a primary focus on assuring that SCN posters maintain readily available to the public
• implementing SCN's new Public Service Announcements program

Grant Writing

• research for applicable grants through the various search engines and agencies
• learn more about database and time management, interpersonal skills, advertising sales, delegation, writing copy, layout design, and more
• prepare copy to update campus and national website

IT/Website

• maintain SCN website
• create and optimize graphics for website
• adapt/prepare copy and illustrations for campus and national websites
• need to be able to work under long distance supervision (i.e. email)
• need to have a good working knowledge of Windows platforms, personal computers as well as basic skills in html, css, illustrator, etc.

Orientation Speaker's Bureau

• delivering awareness and education presentations to incoming freshmen via 16 UGA summer orientation events
• give prevention advice and tips to college and high school students
• develop and redesign presentation formats for various groups
• coordinate volunteers to assist in the different aspects of speaker presentations

Public Relations/Communications

• assist in redesigning, publishing, and distributing all of SCN's publications
• coordinate volunteers to assist in different aspects of publishing The Informer and SCNews
• work regularly with media sponsors
• need to be a Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations student

Publications

• design, research, write copy, layout, advertising, distribution, etc.) of the SCN publications
• The Informer Magazine
  • Editor:  oversees all aspects of creating and publishing this bi-annual magazine with a distribution of 45,000 copies per issue
  • Assistant Editor:  assists the editor
  • Photo Editor:  coordinates a volunteer staff into creating artwork for publication
  • Advertising Executive:  oversees a volunteer staff to obtain advertisements for funding of publication
• Safety Net
  • Editor:  oversees all aspects of the quarterly email newsletter sent to parents, community members, and other stakeholders
• For Safety's Sake
  • Editor:  oversees all aspects of this newsletter published Five times a year with a distribution of 25,000 copies per issue to area high school students

Special Events

• help plan and execute for SCN activities and fundraising
• need to be strong in interpersonal skills, organization and time management
